ATTG Launches “Circular Bags” Project to Promote Waste Reduction and Inclusive Employment
To continuously raise awareness on reducing factory waste and avoiding landfill disposal, while promoting the reuse of materials under the 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) concept, AISIN Takaoka Thailand Group (ATTG) has introduced a new initiative called the “Circular Bag” Project in 2025.
As part of this initiative, employees are encouraged to repurpose polo shirts, which were officially discontinued in 2025, into reusable fabric bags. These “Circular Bags” are designed for borrowing and can be used to carry lunch boxes, takeaway food, snacks, and beverages (in bottles or cans) into relaxation areas, replacing single-use plastic bags. After use, employees are asked to return the bags to designated drop-off points. This simple yet meaningful activity aims to foster environmental awareness and inspire behavioral changes in daily life.
In addition, to enhance the social impact of the project, ATTG is collaborating with the Autistic Life Skills Center of Chonburi province, commissioning individuals with intellectual disabilities to sew the bags. This not only ensures the bags are beautifully crafted and durable but also supports inclusive and sustainable economic growth by providing valuable employment opportunities for people with disabilities, contributing to Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
